SAP India introduces Global Bharat programme for Indian MSMEs Bengaluru, Jun 30 (KNN) Enterprise software firm, SAP India has launched the Global Bharat initiative for Indian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by providing them access to global marketplace, digital skilling for the workforce and transforming business processes.
SAP has partnered with IT apex body, Nasscom, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Pratham InfoTech Foundation for a three-pronged initiative.
“The impact of pandemic on the economy and businesses has been felt majorly by MSMEs across the country. Being a potential contributor to India’s GDP (29 per cent) and providing employment to over 111 million people, it is imperative to strengthen the sector for the revival of the country’s economy,” Deb Deep Sengupta, President and Managing Director, SAP Indian Subcontinent, said in a statement, on Monday.
“Global Bharat, is our endeavour to enable MSMEs to augment business and re-access critical processes that overcome inefficiencies and make them globally competitive,” he added.
The global firm said that its efforts are in line with various measures announced by the government to revive the MSME sector which has been badly hit by the pandemic.
SAP said that MSMEs will have free access to its Ariba Discovery network until the end of the year.
MSMEs can directly procure goods with nearly four million suppliers in the B2B marketplace with .3 trillion annual commerce. Besides, the MSMEs will be provided accessibility to 240 courses on Digital Financial, Soft Skills, Productivity Technologies, it said.
SAP India will also supply MSMEs entry to its electronic skilling initiative ‘Code Unnati’. They will have entry to 240 programs on electronic, monetary, smooth abilities and productive systems that will digitally talent the workforce and adapt to the new performing environments.
The curated courses will be made available through a mobile application for people to access via their android smartphone devices, SAP India said.
Thirdly, the Global Bharat initiative also brings affordable and accessible enterprise technology for MSMEs.
The programme was launched in association with Nasscom Foundation, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Pratham InfoTech Foundation.
